Night swim is for

making waves illuminating hidden truths  embracing adventure finding clarity in the unknown exploring new depths  journeying beyond the familiar diving below the surface

In their combined 10 years of agency, in-house, and freelance branding experience, Night Swim founders Farrah and Kenly noticed frustrating cracks in the system: language and design are treated as separate arts with separate teams, agencies lack the time to build meaningful client relationships, and full rebrands are cost prohibitive to many small to medium-sized businesses.

We joined forces in 2023 to make the branding process more accessible, personal, and fun. With an investigative approach that focuses on strengthening a brand’s most fundamental components, Night Swim unites language and design to deliver cohesive, powerful brands that exceed the expectations of clients and their customers.

Seeing brands in a new light

Our Beliefs

Our Beliefs •

Don’t just build incredible brands. Build deep, trusting connections.

Resisting change is like swimming upstream—tiring and futile. Stay flexible, ride the wave, and navigate change with grace and agility.

The best ideas happen when thoughts are shared, creativity is amplified, and accountability is mutual.

The stakes are high, but they’re not life or death—search for the sweet spot between doing serious business and finding the light.

Team of Two

Meet Farrah Fox

Farrah has an almost mystical ability to find and create beauty. Whether it’s by way of a lens or laptop, Farrah makes the ordinary exceptional. From the outside, it seems like sorcery, but insiders know it’s her relentless work ethic and profound commitment to excellence, mastered through years of in-house, agency, and freelance art direction and design. If you run into Farrah on the street, ask her what she’s up to—it’s always something interesting and incredible like volunteering at a flower farm, mentoring young Richmonders, photographing an international yoga retreat, or prepping the website launch for your favorite local biz.

Meet Kenly Craighill

A lifelong reader and writer with an insatiable appetite for great storytelling, Kenly has spent her career mastering the craft of language. She began as an agency strategist turned copywriter, simultaneously continuing her education at the Bergh’s School of Communication in UX Writing. There, Kenly nurtured a passion for making copy that’s not just clever and compelling, but also functional and ethical. Notably, Kenly was the youngest writer in residence accepted to the Centre Pompadour, but thinks it’s weird to say that out loud. She can explain the rules of a complicated board game without losing the crowd, and once received a written performance review ending with “simply put, she is a badass.”
